Beginnings Fiber Studio

I am Caroline Prevost and I am a fiber artist who is especially fond of spinning and weaving. I was raised in suburbia and had no thought of anything agricultural. I learned to sew, knit and crochet in Girl Scouts. In the late 1980s, I inherited my French grandmother's spinning wheel and have never looked back! I accrued weaving skills while working for a hermit nun in central Maine. I learned to rug hook with a little help from friends. I love everything to do with natural fibers, and often miss being a homesteader with the accompanying sheep and angora rabbits.
